Learn more about IH Examination Pathway - our new exam preparation programme, will prepare you for any English language exam, including Cambridge, OET, Trinity, IELTS, TOEFL and Language Cert examinations. About the IH Examination Pathway
Pathway Structure:
Option 1: Intensive IH Examination Pathway – 25 lessons per week
This includes 20 lessons per week of General English classes at the relevant level to improve accuracy and fluency plus 5 lessons per week of IH Examinations Pathway PSP (Personal Study Programme), that will focus on practising exam skills.
Option 2: Standard IH Examination Pathway – 15 lessons per week
This includes 10 lessons per week of General English classes at the relevant level to improve accuracy and fluency plus 5 lessons per week of IH Examinations Pathway PSP (Personal Study Programme), that will focus on practising exam skills.

As soon as you are enrolled on your pathway course, you will receive a link to the IH Neo examination pathway preparation platform to help you prepare for your examination even before you start your course!

Each lesson is 55 minutes long, so there are scheduled break periods that take this into account. Our class size is 12 students maximum (8 students on average). Minimum age 16
Students can join the IH Examination Pathway on any Monday to prepare for any English exam!

Application: Candidates must register at least 6 weeks before the exam. Please complete the exam entry form and return it to the school via info@ihnewcastle.com or in person.
Payment may be made over the phone, in person, or online.

Proof of English level for immigration purposes
The UK Home Office has recently amended its list of examinations that are deemed suitable as proof of English level in connection with visa and other immigration matters - Secure English Language Tests (SELTS). If you are taking examinations in the UK, you can choose from IELTS or Trinity College examination. International House is an approved centre for preparation courses for Trinity SELT (Secure English Language Tests)
Please note that IELTS examinations required to support visa applications must be taken at one of 15 designated test centres in 8 UK cities: Cambridge, Edinburgh (two centres), London (six centres), Birmingham, Manchester, Cardiff, Belfast, Portsmouth.
